Another corporate boost for downtown St. Catharines
Another corporate donation to benefit downtown St. Catharines development.
RBC has announced its donating 675 thousand dollars to Brock University's new School of Fine and Performing Arts currently under construction at the former Canada Hair Cloth building.
A half million dollars of that money will go directly into the facility to help construct state of the art music practice and teaching rooms.
The rooms will be equipped with what's called acoustic isolation which will allow different musicians to play their instruments without disturbing one another.
As well relative humidity will be maintained around 40 percent to help with vocal performances and protect instruments.
Earlier this month, Meridian Credit Union bought the naming rights to the new downtown arena.
