Hudak pressing South Niagara hospital issue
PC Leader Tim Hudak is asking why the province isn't supporting a new hospital in South Niagara
During Thursday's Question Period, Hudak says with the recommendation of a consolidated hospital in South Niagara coming from Dr. Kevin Smith dating back to May 2012, there needs to be action now.
Hudak says the province needs to stop making decisions based on politics and set priorities
Health Minister Deb Matthews said she wanted to acknowledge the work of Dr. Smith, but pointed there is a lively conversation underway over a South Niagara hospital.
Matthews says from the Province's point of view there is not unanimity around the decision to build a single hospital in South Niagara.
