OPP traffic stop in Thorold leads to drug, weapon and probation charges
An OPP traffic stop in Thorold has led to numerous charges being laid against two men.
Wednesday night, just outside the Thorold Tunnel on Highway 58, police stopped a vehicle without taillights.
When speaking with the driver the officer noticed a strong scent of marihuana and alcohol.
After an investigaion police determined the driver, 24-year old Roger Mercury, was wanted by Toronto police.
The passenger, 23-year old Christoper Perez, was also found to have marihuana in his possession.
Both men are facing drug, weapons and probation charges.
