A Wellington County break and enter leads NRP to Port Colborne
Two arrests have been made in an alleged 24-hour crime spree between Wellington County and Port Colborne.
Niagara Regional Police received information that a vehicle used in the September 25th break in was seen at a residence in Port Colborne.
NRP, along with OPP located the vehicle with the stolen merchandise still inside, and as a result arrested two men.
Along with the stolen merchandise police seized heroin and crystal meth with an estimated street value of $12 hundred dollars.
Thirty year old Derek Kilimnik of Port Colborne has been charged with various offences including two counts of possession, and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding five thousand dollars.
Forty year old Christopher Petersen, of no fixed address has been charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding five thousand dollars and one count of failing to comply with a probation order.
Kilimnik and Petersen will also be charged with other offences by Wellington County OPP when their investigation is completed.
Both males are scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in St. Catharines at a later date.
