NRP lay 14 charges in special speed enforcement exercise
Police have laid some charges following a special speed enforcement exercise in Niagara Falls.
Cops were set up on Stanley Avenue at McLeod Road on Saturday, the scene of a horrific collision on August 29th, 2013, where excessive speed and alcohol were factors.
During the two hour enforcement exercise officers laid 14 provincial offence charges for speeding, with speeds ranging from 24 to 35 km/hr over the posted 50 km/hr speed limit.
In a release, police say Chief Jeff McGuire and the Niagara Regional Police Service are committed to making the roadways within the Niagara Region safe for everyone.
They are also asking you to plan ahead and arrive alive.
