Report on Oakville Gas Plant cancellation expected Tuesday
The province's Auditor General will release her report on the costs of the Oakville gas plant cancellation on Tuesday, Oct. 8th.
The Ontario Power Authority (OPA) estimates tax- and rate-payers are on the hook for $310 million, while the province maintains that there are only $40 million in sunk costs.
Bonnie Lysyk took over from Jim McCarter last month.
McCarter released a report on the Mississauga gas plant cancellation in the spring, revealing the cost to cancel and relocate that plant to be $275 million.
