Pelham stray finds new home after surgery
A Pelham stray has made it through surgery and has a new place to call home.
HTZ FM Morning Show CoHost Jason Barr says his sons found the dog hurt in a ditch while they were walking home from school.
After taking the dog to the vet, it was discovered the 5 month old puppy was probably hit by a car and needed surgery to amputate her back paw.
She's been named Misty for now, and will be joining the Barr family once she's ready to go home with a prosthetic leg.
The Welland Humane Society is looking to the community to help cover the vet bills for Misty since they don't pass along costs to an adoptive family.
You can donate online or by going directly to the Humane Society in Welland.
