Budget shortfall at NHS
The Niagara Health System is facing a cash crunch.
NHS supervisor Kevin Smith says with no new money coming in from the province, the health system is facing a 12 million dollar shortfall.
And Smith says that means they will have to look internally for possible savings.
The new hospital in St. Catharines has also added about 30 million to the annual operating budget.
No word on what services may be on the chopping block.
