Whalen trial moving to Hamilton
The murder trial for a Fort Erie woman charged in the death of her two year old daughter will be held in Hamilton.
Roseanne Whalen made a brief court appearance in Welland yesterday.
The Crown announcing it would not fight a change of venue application filed by Whalen's lawyer.
Lawyer Geoffrey Hadfield asked for the change of venue ensure his client gets a fair trial.
Whalen was charged in the death of her daughter Marissa when her remains were found near Brantford in 2011.
The trial is scheduled to start March 17th of next year.
Rainbow Hill was sentenced to life after being pleading guilty to second degree murder in Marissa's death
Hill's sister Amanda Dipota was ordered behind bars for three years after pleading guilty to being an accessory after the fact.
