NRP say random mailboxes are being blown up
The NRP are investigating three separate incidents of damage to rural Niagara mailboxes with homemade explosive devices.
Police say the suspects attempted to explode an aerosol can by wrapping it in paper or cardboard, or may have even used fireworks.
The first incident happened in late July or early August in the area of third concession in Port Colborne.
The second happened last Saturday on Wilford Road in Wainfleet, while the third incident happened Monday night in the Maple Grove area of Lincoln.
Police say the mailboxes are the standalone mailboxes that can typically be found at the end of a driveway.
