Final Canadian voyage for Maid of the Mist
Its the end of an era on the Canadian side of the Niagara River.
After 167 years, the Maid of the Mist will take its final trip on the river on this side of the border Thursday.
Next year, Hornblower Cruises out of California will take over the popular tourist attraction.
But the Maids will continue to run on the U-S side.
The Glynn family which owns the attraction has extended its season by two days on the American side and will offer free rides to visitors tomorrow and Saturday as a way to thank locals for their continued support.
