17-year old Pelham resident facing stunting charges
A 17-year old Pelham resident has been charged with stunting after being clocked 82 kilometers per hour over the speed limit.
The NRP say a call from a concerned citizen regarding speeding vehicles in his St. Catharines neighbourhood eventually led to the charge.
Police made the arrest Thursday morning in the area of 8th Avenue Louth after setting up a speed enforcement operation.
The 2012 Dodge Pick up Truck was clocked at 142 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
The driver is now charged with speeding, and (stunting) for speeding in excess of 50km/h over the speed limit.
In addition to having his father's truck impounded for seven days, the 17-year old will also have a court date to answer to the charge of stunting.
