CN Track repairs to close major Niagara Falls road
Niagara Falls residents are going to find it tough to navigate from one end of the city to the other next week, when CN repair work begins on the tracks that cut across Morrison Street between Dorchester and Drummond.
City officials say motorists will have to plan ahead and reroute around that section of road.
The road is open but drivers will not be allowed to cross the tracks.
Despite the headaches, it looks like residents will just have to put up with the inconvenience.
Mayor Jim Diodatti says getting the railway to move that line isn't likely.
He adds provincial transport officials have explained getting new lines put in is tough because of the current environmental process.
The work on the track begins Monday, October 28th until November 2nd.
