SPECTOR IS GUILTY
Phil Spector was found guilty of second-degree murder yesterday. It took nine days of deliberations for the jury to rule that the producer was responsible for actress Lana Clarkson's death. She was shot dead at Spector's California mansion on February 3rd, 2003, just hours after they'd met at a Sunset Strip club.
Spector now faces 15 years to life behind bars. Sentencing is set for May 29th.
MEL'S PASSION OF THE DIVORCE
It was an awkward Easter Sunday for Mel Gibson. That's when he told parishioners at the Roman Catholic church he built in 2005 that he's getting divorced. After the service, he was reportedly overheard saying, "Well, she's filed for divorce."
On Thursday, Mel's wife of 28 years, Robyn, signed divorce papers, seeking joint custody of their 9-year-old son, Thomas. The couple has six other children.
According to People magazine, Mel and Robyn have been separated since August 2006 -- almost a month after Mel's infamous DUI stop in Malibu.
His fortune is estimated to be in the vicinity of 900-million dollars and the couple has no known prenuptial agreement, which would mean a fifty-fifty split of the money.
GEORGE HARRISON: His Sweet Star
George Harrison will be honored this morning in Hollywood when he posthumously receives the two-thousandth-382nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony will take place in front of Capitol Records at 1750 Vine Street. The label will use the occasion to announce a new Harrison hits collection for release later this year. Harrison's widow, Olivia, and son Dhani [pr: Danny] will be on hand for the 11:30 [P.T.] event.
The Beatles (collectively) have a star at 7080 Hollywood Boulevard. John Lennon was given one at 1750 Vine Street, but so far neither Paul McCartney nor Ringo Starr has been so honored.

PORN STAR FOUND DEAD
'70s porn star Marilyn Chambers has died. The star of Behind the Green Door was found dead in her Santa Clarita, California, home by her daughter. Marilyn, who was an Ivory Snow girl before starting her porn career, was 56.
An autopsy will be performed, authorities don't suspect foul play.

The Florida attorney general has filed a lawsuit against a Jacksonville company that marketed a dog chew toy that was designed to looked like former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who is serving time on dog-fighting charges.
The company, Showbiz Promotions, is owned by Jaime Salcedo, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit claims that the company promised in its advertising to donate proceeds from the sale of the Vick Dog Chew Toy to animal shelters, but never made any donations.
The toy was marketed online and in news reports shortly after Michael Vick was arrested on charges of running a dog-fighting operation at his Virginia home. There were reports from some people who ordered the toys online never receiving the toy. Others experienced long delays before the toys were finally shipped.
The lawsuit also accuses the company of selling a doll named for slain Florida toddler Caylee Anthony, promising to donate proceeds to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. According to the attorney general, only $10 was donated.
