What happened on June 17th
Guitarist Eddie Van Halen filed a lawsuit against Nike in Los Angeles Friday, alleging the company used the trademarked striped design from his guitar on their new line of "Dunk Lows" tennis shoes.
The Nike shoes feature red, white and black streaks along the midsole. The suit states that Van Halen received a 2001 copyright for the design on the body of his "Frankenstein" electric guitar.
Court papers allege that Nike infringed on that copyright by using the design on sneakers without "consent, approval or license

The trailer for "Suck" has hit the Web. It's about a struggling rock band that rockets to success once all the members become VAMPIRES...appearing.. Alice Cooper, who plays a bartender, Iggy Pop, Rush's Alex Lifeson and Henry Rollins... There's no word yet on a release date . . . but it's been playing various festivals since last year.

PM In The AM Blog...Mar 11th 2010: It's One Movie Folks!
Three days into this theme and I finally get around to Quentin Tarantino. Blasting onto the movie scene with Reservoir Dogs which blew us all away with its circular storytelling, snappy banter, and ultra cool characters; Hollywood had not seen anything like this in quite a long while. So QT follows 'Dogs' with Pulp Fiction; a film he'll never top (my opinion, feel free to disagree) even if he were to make two movies a year for the next hundred!Which brings me to Kill Bill. I don't know what it is exactly but this is easily my all-time top QT outing. It might have a lot to do with Uma Thurman being front and centre (man I love her as Beatrix Kiddo, I'd totally own that girl), it might be the music or the dialogue, both of which which are QT's fortés really. Whenever I see it playing on a TV, that's it, I'm gone for the next four hours. I always have to watch this thing from start to finish...and by the way, I consider it to be one film; none of this 'Volume One' and 'Volume Two' BS. Miramax wouldn't let QT release it as one film and while I understand the reasoning behind that decision (most of it was run time related if I recall correctly), I certainly don't have to agree with it.
