Obama: The Musical

You've seen Barack Obama on commemorative plates, coins, and bobble-head dolls. Now, you'll get to see the new president on stage.

Obama on My Mind, a musical premiering in London in March, is described as "a humorous look at the weird and wonderful world behind the scenes of a small Obama campaign office and the larger-than-life characters who make the wheels turn, the cogs whirr and bring in the votes."

Back in their day - the early '70s, to be exact - The Faces were a sticky, sweaty blues-rock band. 'Funky' they were not. But that's likely to change, with Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist Flea now set to record and tour with the reunited group.

When it was announced last November that Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood were reforming the much-loved outfit, speculation ran wild as to who would step in to fill the slot left by original Faces bassist Ronnie Lane, who died in 1997.

Rumors began to surface late last year that Flea had rehearsed with the band, and yesterday Ronnie Wood confirmed that the LA-based funkmeister was a lock

The wait continues for Neil Young fans.

Young's oft-delayed "The Archives Vol. 1 1963-1972" box set has been pushed back again until later this year with no firm date for its release, according to a representative from Warner Music Canada.

The collection, originally scheduled for release last fall, is expected to include unreleased studio and live recordings, fresh film footage, photos, personal letters and a 150-page book.

Some reports have indicated that the set will use the Blu-Ray format, but the Warner rep said details have not been finalized.

In the meantime, Young's new disc, "Fork in the Road," is scheduled for release March 31, with the title track already available for download on his website.
