Schools:
Niagara College campuses are closed today due to weather.
Brock Univeristy's main campus in St. Catharines and the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts downtown will open at noon, with all afternoon classes and activities continuing as scheduled.
All DSBN and Niagara Catholic Schools are open for the day but due to what officials call 'the varying condition of sideroads' busses have been cancelled.
Classes for Niagara Children’s Centre School Authority are cancelled.
French Boards in Niagara, Conseil Scolaire Viamonde and Conseil Scolaire Catholique MonAvenir are open, however the busses aren't running
Daycares:
The Thorold Community Activities Group will be closed today. This includes all programs and childcare.
The Day Care Centre in Beamsville - Toddler/Preschool & School Age Programs are closed today due to poor weather conditions
ABC Daycare Centre on 34 Facer street St. Catharines Van services and Wall to the schools is cancelled
The centre will remain open today!
Bee Montessori Niagara is closed today, February 13, 2025 due to inclement weather.
Rosalind Blauer Centre for Child Care closed today due to weather.
Community Programs:
The St. Catharines office of Community Care will be closed this morning and will reassess later this morning if we will be open for emergencies only this afternoon. The Thorold Office will remain closed all day.
Niagara Region facilities and operations are running as normal however, some programs and services are cancelled today for more visit - https://niagararegion.ca/service-disruptions/default.aspx
Meals on Wheels Port Colborne/Wainfleet has canceled deliveries today
The office and resource lending library of the Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC) are running as normal including this evening's webinar with Danielle Medina and the onsite Membership Open House with Niagara Catholic District School Board.
Hospice Niagara’s administrative offices will be DELAYED in opening due to inclement weather but we are still available by phone or email. Any in-person community programs or meetings that were scheduled for this morning will be offered virtually or rescheduled to another day. The Stabler Centre remains OPEN for visiting.
Programing at MacBain Community Centre is cancelled for the morning only, the situation will be reassessed in the afternoon.
The Monastery Store and Mt. Carmel Spiritual Centre will be closed today due to poor weather conditions.
11:15am weekday Mass at Mt. Carmel Monastery is cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
The Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region’s office at 403 Ontario Street will be closed today – staff will continue to work remotely and take phone calls. All outreach, Support Groups and Brain Wave Café programs are cancelled through the Region. Online programs are still available.
Community Services of Niagara has cancelled all programs and services for today. Our offices are closed but staff are working remotely and remain available to support.
